Steve Jobs will appear once again in form of Ashton Kutcher in Jan 2013.

Titled “jOBS“, this will be the first biopic to be released since the Apple co-founder passed away last year. The movie reportedly covers the thirty “definitive” years of Jobs’ life, beginning in 1971.

The whole project had been in news since it began filming this summer, and now it will make its grand opening alongside 17 other films at the Sundance festival, which runs Jan. 17-27. The film is set to debut on the final night of Sundance on January 27, 2013.

The Hollywood Reporter, which first reported the news quoted Trevor Groth, the festival’s director of programming, who said that jOBS was chosen to close the event because “there’s something inspirational about it. To see what he achieved by just staying true to his vision is something that I think a lot of people can relate to and get hope from.”

There has been a lot of interest swirling around Kutcher who has been seen taking the gig very seriously, since July. The Actor has been ambling around the set in Jobs’ characteristic black turtleneck and New Balances, slipping into some method acting and staying in character.

Since Kutcher's casting in jOBS was revealed in April, interest in the project has steadily grown. The Joshua Michael Stern-directed biopic was written by Matt Whiteley and includes appearances from Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad, Lukas Haas, Matthew Modine, and J.K. Simmons.

Festival director John Cooper believes viewers will be able to relate to Kutcher’s portrayal of the enigmatic Apple co-founder. “Ashton Kutcher's performance I thought was quite remarkable," Cooper said. "It's a very formidable performance, and it seemed like he really tried to grasp all the nuances of who Steve Jobs was.”
