Wouldn’t you like your Internet browsing experience to be pleasant and great? Try giving it an element of X factor with the Hey Girl Chrome extension.
The tool aptly called “Hey Girl”, changes the images on any webpage to photos of Ryan Gosling. Change the look of the boring world news with graphic images or replace your entire Pinterest boards with various photos of Gosling.
The extension was created by Brooklyn-based web developer Katherine Champagne while studying at Dev Bootcamp Chicago
"We had a curriculum challenge that involved manipulating webpage elements live using Javascript," Champagne told Mashable, "and my programming pair and I were having fun changing all of his Dev Bootcamp profile information to make him appear as if he were Channing Tatum."
"My teacher, Kevin Solorio, walked by and threw down the gauntlet: make this a bookmarklet! Challenge accepted. I changed the concept from Channing Tatum to Ryan Gosling, and heygirl.io was born."
If you need to take a break from Gosling, just hit the refresh button on your browser and it’ll be back to normal.
Champagne hopes the extension not only provides pleasure, but encourages female web developers.
